How we check the work
Our review process.
You should be able to see where a number comes from, why a mark is awarded, and which checks are still needed.
Current status
The website and app are development candidates. Questions are checked automatically and marked as draft or auto-checked. Auto-checked means a question passed our automated checks; it has not been reviewed by a subject specialist or an exam board.
One source for each practical
The guide, app and printables use the same practical definitions. Results are simulated, with the seed and version printed beside them. Tests compare the displayed values with the simulation’s output so that the worked example can be reproduced.
Original questions, visible marking
Questions are written for Study Hack. Worked answers show the mark points and reasoning. Questions and mark schemes are not copied from exam-board papers. Exam boards are named only to identify the course; Study Hack is independent and unaffiliated.
What is checked now
- Calculations. Where a question has a calculation, the answer is computed from the data shown, and automated tests check the key, units and notation.
- Readings. Tests check that every reading shown on the bench equals the simulation’s value.
- Pages. Rendered pages are checked by automated tests and screenshots for layout and navigation.
Corrections
Corrections identify what changed. No page here is reviewed by a subject specialist or an exam board.
Using a simulation
A virtual practical helps you rehearse. Follow your teacher’s method and safety instructions for real work.
